1) You are on the next season of Dancing with the Stars who is your dream dance partner? Why?
Cheryl Burke. She knows what it means to win, she has great drive, and she's sexy as all get-out. Is there anyone else who has made the human back an erogenous zone for prime-time TV the way she has? Plus, she's single. Edyta Sliwinska takes second place.
2) Do you ever feel that you want to be a parent?
Yes. I always felt that I'd have to meet a woman I'd want to have a child with before I thought of that question. I think I would make a good father, butt hat doesnt' mean I have a real drive to be one. Stil, it's something I think about more these days.
3) When you are away from Philly what is the one local food you miss?
Lazaro's Pizza near 18th and South streets. Light, silky mozzarella, a sweet spread of sauce, thin but substantial dough. Slides wide as the eye can see. Loveliness.
4) Is there a local food in CT that you found and enjoy?
I'll go with a sauce, actually - the hot mustard from Bei Jing Chinese restaurant in Southington. My supervisor turned me on to it. I always get it, and with General Tso's chicken it's fantastic. It bites your tongue, and then the smoke rises into your nostrils and sinuses like gunpowder.
5) What is the wildest unexpected thing that you ever did in your life?
God, what can I say here without friend-locking the post? Recently, one of those wild, unexpected things was talking Flyers with my brother. (I've never seen two black men talk about hockey in my whole life.)
But other than that, and many other wild things, I guess one of them is the time I went to s sorority party when I was a 17-year-old freshman in college, got drunk and made out with a girl who turned out to be a senior and president of the sorority hosting the party, and spending the night in her dorm room but nothing happened because she had someone staying there with her. Was sick as a dog the next day!
