An interesting last few days, I guess.
I've uploaded some photos that finally aren't Disney-related. The
shoot with Carly is up now, modeling a couple of her vintage nightgowns. We did the shoot in her room, which is covered with her artwork, and it came out nice. We used only her multi-bulb floor lamp for light, and it made some interesting contrasts and shadows. Next time I'll have to try a shoot with natural light, or more light, at least. Many of them are friends-only, though, but most everyone who reads here has a Flickr account. Just log in and you can see them all. If you don't have one, you can create an account (it's free), and I'll friend you. I also keep a lot of Rosemary photos as friends-only, so you'd get to see those as well.
Work has been long, tiring, but good. I come home ready to sleep, which I often do. Football weekends can get kinda crazy, especially since with so many games on, it's harder for us fans to stay on things. Couple this atmosphere with my own drive to handle EVERYTHING that comes out, and there you have it.
I am back in the gym! I went Friday, and now my legs are really yelling at me for working them so hard on the leg press machines. Right now I do mostly free weights, back to the dumbbell routine along with some calisthenics and such. I think my legs can only handle the elliptical machine for now. So far it's getting easier and easier to lift the 20-pound dumbbells (I used 25's at home), so I think it's time to move up to the 25's at the work gym.
A few weeks ago I finally caved in to the ad campaign and bought a Gillette Fusion Power Razor. Yup, the five-bladed razor with a battery-operated feature to vibrate the blades while you shave. And you know what? It works. Or at least it feels good. And it gave me something I almost never have: an easy, 10-minute shave. It works fine with some shave cream I have, or even the Gillette Fusion shave gel. It's all good.
My birthday is Saturday, so I need to find something to do. I don't want to just work all day and then come home to an empty apartment and do nothing. Maybe I can persuade a co-worker or two into going out. Better make some phone calls.
At some point I want to start printing my digital photos. It's going to take forever since I've gone digital, but it's time to fill up more of the photo album. I'll probably just print them out on 8.5-by-11 sheets of photo paper, so I can do a bunch at a time. Especially since my printer seems unable to print the whole 4-by-6 photo on 4-by-6 paper without cropping it and leaving a big white tab on the side. Damn you, HP Deskjet 3900 Series! Still looking for a cheat, since I have all this 4-by-6 paper lying about.
