I spent the morning working at home, because Colleen had to go in to Kaiser for a mammogram and we were expecting a phone call. The call duly arrived a little after noon, so now the YD is signed up for a 10-week course in modeling and acting with J. R. Powers. I figure that if it gives her some poise and self-confidence it'll be worthwhile even if it does nothing else. Nobody tells me anything -- it turns out that modeling has been a dream of hers for years.

Spent some time chasing links on anhedonia and apathy. Callie describes it as my "wanter" being broken, and that's about right. Goes along with the dysthymia. I've been noticing a certain amount of "yeah, that could be fun, but not right now" thinking, as well as just not being able to think of anything I want to do.

I also watched the first episode of Raising Kayn, the web video series by fireskin. (Actually I watched it on blip.tv, since the main site apparently needs some plugin I don't have on Debian. But it's looking like fun.)

Colleen made dinner all by herself, except for needing help getting things off of high places, in and out of the bottom shelf of the fridge, and on and off of the stove. Go Cat!!

This morning's link sausage includes news from Microsoft that most, if not all, of the lost Sidekick data has been recovered. Whether most, if not all, of the lawsuits have been avoided is, of course, still an open question. We also have this fascinating article by Derek Sivers about increasing CD sales by making sure everyone in the audience gets one, and pays whatever they want to. A lot of interesting stuff on that site, by the guy who founded CD Baby.
