Looking good, I think...this posting puts me over halfway, much more considering that I'm not writing in order so there are others further along already written. I just may make it. I hope, however, that upon later reflection I don't feel as if I have sacrificed quality to quantity and have written nothing but utter crap. *sigh* Here's to that hope...

#11 Picture This!: Crazy Schemes
(The picture is the one of Joe behind his bar, looking *completely* exasperated with Mac. Misbehaving Immies...what's a watcher to do?).

“Joe...”

“No.”

“But Joe...”

“No.”

“But...but Joe...”

“That’s it, MacLeod! No more! None! I’m not listening to you and your crazy schemes.”

“Crazy schemes? Joe Dawson, since when have you known my schemes to be crazy?”

Joe just stared at him, eyes narrowed in deep suspicion.

“Aha! You’ve been up late reading Amanda’s chronicles again, haven’t you? Or maybe Fitz’s? Now those two, they have crazy schemes. This is just a little April Fool’s joke.”

“On Methos.”

“Yes.”

“Methos, the world’s oldest man.”

“That has nothing to do with...”

“No way in hell, Mac...and that’s my final answer.”

#12 The Dead Letters: Sometimes the Good Die Old

Mac -

You knew it would be this way. That I would arrange it so, if possible.

You’ll probably hate me for it, brooding...another friend’s death on your conscience, another friend lost. Don’t think like that.

I love you.

I love you so much, with everything that I am, that I am giving you everything that I am.

You will have the rest, too. My journals. The journal beneath this letter...that is the journal of us. Everything I never said. Don’t mourn more because of it...read it, keep it on this new, most important journey.

You are my One.

#13 Highlander: the Musical: The Music Men
(I’m really not all that familiar with musicals, so rather then go specific I went for the general...)

“I’m telling you, my boy, this would be perfect for you. Consider it a vacation.”

“A vacation? Fitz, my idea of a vacation does not include -”

“Oh, come on lad. It will be simply splendid. Bring back memories of old times, and such. Amanda’s game...don’t be such a stick in the mud.”

“Join a Company, travel across Europe for shows?”

“Ah, the theater life for me.”

“Fitzcairn...a Shakespeare Company I can see. That would bring back memories of old times. That would make sense. But who in their right minds would want to see us in a musical?”

#14 Love: Living Love
(...just so you know, I have *no* idea where this came from...it wasn’t where I was going when I sat down at the keyboard).

He had loved Alexa, loved her sweetness and generosity and bravery, and he didn’t need the reminder of her grave to know that. But he went.

Each year he stood for moments, for hours, reflecting, remembering, falling in love with her again. Each year he came, until the year he didn’t.

It was always that way, because he loved her, yes, but he loved them all.

In one human lifetime, you can remember all the days...birthdays, anniversaries, deaths. After one hundred, they are all around you. They are every day. So he loves them, he remembers them, by living.

#15 Rain: Swimming in the Rain

It was summer rain. Warm and fresh and sweet, lit by the sun despite the clouds.

Methos stood there, letting the rain soak him, welcoming it, wanting it to last beyond that barest stretch of moments which was all it was ever allowed.

Perfection, pure perfection.

And then Duncan was there, tugging lightly, pulling him down the gentle slope towards the pond. When Methos realized his friend’s intent, he let out a whoop of childish joy and they were suddenly racing down the hill, stripping as they went, to splash about in the normally still pond, now alive with raindrops.
