The 4400 revealed, Quantum Leap, V and Watchmen reported.

Nothing on network TV has ever surprised me, so why should cable TV be any different. Let me tell you a story about the 4400 then. But in this story I will call them the 2200.

Isabelle and Maya are the two controlling powers, I have always believed this even before the birth of Isabelle. I always thought that she would be the good force and Maya the bad one, but after just watching it tonight I noticed two things. The first was, I was right, as always, there are two forces, and the second, I had it backwards. Isabelle is the evil one and Maya is the good one. But that can still change all depending on if they consider Jordan Collier a good guy or a bad guy. He might have died, but he is not done for the series, this I assure you. He is one of the 4400 but we never knew his power, with this in mind and a clean production list and nothing in his future, I know he will be back.

This will fall into the classic good vs evil sci/fi standard. The only difference is that we have yet to find out which side is good and which side is bad. Being Isabelle manipulated Jordan to think things were safe when in fact he got killed it would make me think she wanted him dead. Which was the reverse of my original idea, even if she attacked him before, but can still hold to be true. Perhaps he was a bad guy and Isabelle killed him because he had to die.

While I might not know the end product of the series, I know the path it will take and I will always be a step ahead of it. While it is written great, it is still textbook fantasy and has not really stepped far from the guide. I really wish any series would take some liberties and create something new.

In the mean time I can say this without a shadow of a doubt, I am really enjoying this show. Because, if nothing else, it made me change me stance for a moment, and that is VERY rare.

On to other sci/fi matters that my friends might have interest in.

Quantum Leap: A Bold Leap Forward in on the track now. Dean Stockwell is believed to be signed on and has spoken out about it even. The new series will follow Sam's daughter Sammy Jo in her efforts to find her father who is lost in the time stream. As we last knew Sammy Jo worked for the Quantum Leap project when Sam leaped but did not know he was her father. This could make for interesting interaction. However, without Scott around and Sammy Jo being of the age of 47 or 48, it seems unlikely that it will happen that simply. The lead female part is set for a twenty something female. This could only mean that it would be Sam's Granddaughter and not Sam's Daughter that comes after him. I am sure there is much that needs to be worked out, but as I hear it, the script for A Bold Leap Forward is done and ready to move upon acceptance. All that means is Sci/Fi has to say make it, and the new Quantum Leap movie will be made. Lets just hope it happens and a series is soon to follow. With all returns to my inquires I am expecting an airing between January and March of 2006 for the new telemovie. I for one can not wait.

No more Sci/Fi to report, I wish I could report more on the remake of the V series but it is still stuck in some sort of limbo being the networks want to remake the series from the beginning and the writer wants to make it a return years later. Lets hope V gets some headway in the coming year.

As for one of my favorite comic book series of all time, the movie has once again been abandoned. The Watchman passed through it's third studio with the same result as the previous two. After the pre production thoughts it was thought to be way to expensive to produce. I hope The Watchman some time makes it's way to the big screen, but only if it does it right, and with a cheap budget, it can not be done. I am sort of glad it was passed on. I'd rather it find the right studio then a studio that would not give it the best treatment, a treatment it deserves.
