I am finally back home, at my own house. I am moving around a lot better these days. I do not need the crutches anymore, but I may be upgrading to a cane or something just for assistance. I didn't get my stitches out as I expected. They have to be in for 2 weeks, so this coming Thursday they will be removed. After that I will be able to drive again. I hate being at the mercy of other people. I can't just get up and go to Starbucks when I want. =)
My roommate and a friend from work are taking me out to the Melting Pot tomorrow night. These plans were originally scheduled for the Sunday BEFORE surgery, but due to the nature of things going on in the family, I cancelled. Not that things are any better, but I need to take a few and think about other things.
As each day goes by, the absurdity of my sister Patsy's actions grow. She has truly, truly hit rock bottom and fallen into the deep end. My poor niece... I really feel for her. I hope in the future she can understand why her mother is being the way she is. I miss my sweettart so much.
