Mark your calendars everyone, I am having surgery Feb 12th. This is something that honestly, I have been putting off for oh let's see 10 years or so. I need to have my feet fixed. I got issues with them (bunions-hey thanks dad!) and it seems as though the right one has progressively gotten worse in the past 3 or so years. I've known I have needed this to be done, but I was pretty much given an ultimatum Thursday afternoon. So, needless to say, I will be laid up for a few weeks. See, the dr needs to go in, break one of my bones, reshape it, and place a pin in between two of my toes. Sounds like tons of fun, eh? Now you can see why I have been putting it off. Afterwards I will be in a cast for 2 weeks with a funky shoe thingy, and have stitches in the top of my foot. I will be banned from driving, but it will be alright because I won't be able to work for the first week anyways.
I guess the scary thing is the pain, being as though i have never really broken a bone in my body before so I haven't a clue as to what it will feel like. And the anestesia thing-not a fan on having some drug controlling how body is to operate. I think that may actually superceed the fear of the pain.
And guys, this is only the first of 2 surgeries. What a blast....
I have faith that afterwards I will not be in pain anymore.
