Gamage

Feb 23, 2007 15:06

Let's see...roleplayed for half an hour with the 'golden middle' type posts...did chores for half an hour (unload/load dishes, bring down recycling, get the mail, vaccuum the floors, wash the kitchen floor), worked on developing two story ideas for 2 hours.
That's 3 hours of video gamage earned.

WHOOT!!

XD

For me, I have to earn video gameage. I only let myself do it after chores/writing, and try not to go over the alloted time (if I end up playing a video game I'm unfamiliar with and can't get to a save point righta way before time is up, I might go over, but that's the only exception).

So...yea...got two ideas for writing. One of which is more developed. The characters just need background history and it'll be all set to write (after I do quick character sketches...literally...of them so it'll be easier for me to picture them). The other one is all developed plot wise and everything else...except for the character names. Though, that one shouldn't take me as long as normal since I don't have to follow any nationality names for it due to the fact that it's in a fantasy world from the start.

Names wouldn't take too long if I didn't go search meanings...I wanted names that reflected the characters. So...it takes some time. Then, there's the other stats and characteristics...and background is a huge part.

Hmm...got a letter from DVR...switching vendors since Emp Horizons isn't accepting new clients. Fine with me...I was going to call DVR up to ask to switch, anyway, since it had been a month and I hadn't heard from any of them.

However...I just got the letter saying I was referred, and will probably hear from them in 1-2 weeks. Then, the appointment prolly won't be set up for another week or two...which leaves March empty.
Which is perfect.
See, since I might go into floral work, I was thinking of going to a trade school. There's one nearby that has a program that lasts a month for full certification. The tuition is no higher than a semester at a college. Pretty high for a month, but it's a trade school. Plus, since it's only a month long, I don't lose out on time for finding and getting a job (and earning some money). I also don't have to worry about transportation, and it would help give me skills to put on a resume that might encourage me getting hired.
Especially with my wishy-washy job history.

I'll have to talk to dad about it tonight...I know I said I didn't want to go back to school, but this isn't really a school, and it's only for a month. That doesn't count as 'school' in my book...more like 'special training'.
I wanted to tell DVR about it, but the counselor I talk with isn't in today (go figure), so my choices are to email her and hope she still checks her email even when off-work, or wait and call on Monday.

Might be worth my time to face down anxiety for this and go for it. Only a month, and it'll give me more for a job application/resume...thing is, for the upcoming 'semester', it's pretty darn close. As in, a couple weeks. I can register, but I might not get 'in' until later, even if I want to take the next 'semester', since class size is limited to a small number (whoot!).
That might put me into April or May...by then, I'd be working with this vendor and should have a job. I want to do all this before I really start to work with them to up my chances of getting a job. I don't think any job I get is going to say "okay, take a month off so you can go to school and train".

Welp, neeways...I'll be in the prehistoric time period if anybody needs me (Chrono Trigger...just finished the first fight with Magus that I'm guessing screwed up the time stream since Larvos woke early and sent Chronos, Frog, and co to the Prehistoric time period).

^_~

PS: If anyone knows where I can get the full version of the songs from Digimon Savers (the first opening "Gyou-ing! Going! My Soul!", the first ending "One Star", and the evolution song "Believer"), then MUCH APPRECIATED!!

PSS: If anyone knows where I can find the raw Jap for Digimon Adventure Zero Two (the second season), either DVD, VHS, or Torrent (saying it's not a dead torrent), also much appreciated! I spent two days downloading all 50 eps, only to find out that it was the Fox Kids English version.
BLECH!
I found a place that has the Jap DVD set of the first season, Digimon Adventure, as well as a couple movies for outrageous prices, but I'm having trouble finding the second season for any price. Or live torrents.

Thankies! ^__^
