The brown box waited on a shelf in the back. She had the elves she ordered the boots from test them three times to make sure that the enchantments didn't come with any surprises which elf magic sometimes came with. The material had cost a pretty penny as dragon hide was not the easiest thing to get in the mundane world or the homelands. Cindy told herself it was worth it. They had to be special shoes and durable for whatever the super heroine needed to do.
She had told Crispin she would close up and Cir El to come towards closing time to pick them up. The last customer had just left and Cinderella counted the register balance behind the counter as she waited.
