It was rather cold.

But that was all right. She had a warm cloak to wrap herself in, and she would take the cold over the turmoil and tension of her apartment complex any day. High above Gotham, perched on a skyscraper .. it was peaceful. Tucking her legs underneath her, she floated on the wind and closed her eyes, reaching out with her mind as she'd been taught. Around her, she could feel the emotions of others, but no one was close enough that it would influence her own feelings. The apartment was too cramped. Every single change in feeling & thought caught her attention, and it was driving her mad. Sleep was impossible.

Meditation cleared her mind. It kept her from losing the part of her that was Raven, and succumbing to something less logical. While she didn't crave peace, Raven didn't demand unnecessary destruction either. The city was already tearing itself apart, the people didn't need her help to do it. And neither was she inclined to come to Gotham's aid, either. There were much bigger fish in the pond who could deal with that.

Robin and the others were a long flight away, down the coast. No way that she could make the flight without passing out from exhaustion, but there was no guarantee of sleep there either. Too much time had passed, and facing her friends again was too difficult.

No rest for the kind-of wicked, then.

Shifting in midair restlessly, she pulled her cloak around her and opened her eyes, sighing and wondering if it would be dangerous to just sleep on top of the building. Probably, considering the amount of nefarious beings who wandered Gotham. Pity, really.
