Me: great. see you there. I'll buy when I'm off at 3.

Monday afternoon, 3:17pm

Me: right next to you. ;) could be a private screening.

Wendy: hope so. Candy run before?

Me: no. I like to support our local theatre. buy something there.

Monday Night, 6:55pm at the Hollywood

"hey girlie, girl! good to see you. Happy we could do this," I say to my friend as she walks in the door.

"it's been a minute.  I am happy too," she says with a big smile.

We show our E-tix to the woman behind the snack counter because the box office is still closed since the before Covid times.  I look over the selections and there is not much for vegans to eat.  Wendy gets a pre-buttered popcorn and soda while I ask for a package of nachos, Skittles and a bottle of water.

We gather our snacks and head for the left most theatre.  I briefly stop at the trash can to throw out the yellow, gelatinous milk fat that passes as cheese dip.

Wendy nods," I was wondering why you ordered that."

"I just eat the chips," I reply, "wish they had soft pretzels. The skittles are for work during the week."

As the previews start, we munch on our snacks. About halfway through the action adventures, I rip open the skittles and offer Wendy some.
