30 Days of Harry Potter, Day 7
Fave female character and why.
I LOVE HER SO MUCH, YOU GUYS. She's quirky and funny and so completely and unabashedly herself. It's glorious. And for all her weirdness, she is probably one of the wisest characters in the series. Not only does she understand how important it is to just be yourself and stand by your beliefs, regardless of what people say, she is the only person able to comfort Harry after he kills Voldemort and after Sirius dies. She's intuitive when you least expect it. Everyone who really gets to know her can't help but he endeared to her.
I also really appreciate how much she loves her friends. I had a really rough time as a kid and basically didn't have any friends until high school. Luna having her friends painted on her ceiling, while slightly creepy, really touched me. I completely understand how she feels and I'm so glad that she finally found people that accept her.
