How I hate thickmindeness!!! :-P
Last night I went to "Heaven and Hell" to get together with my friends and dance 80's style all night and, so I got there with my girlfriend and showed my driver's license to the bouncer. As I am about to get it, the bouncer stops me, and I am like "What the heck?" and he says "I'm sorry, but your license is expired", and I said "so what? that doesn't matter, I am not gonna do any driving in the club!!", but he would not budge. So I tried this line of reasoning with this neardenthal:
"Look, if you get an ID, not a driver's license, does it have an expiration date?", I said,
"No", he answers
"So, you see, the expiration date refers to my driving privilege, not to my identification or my age, so it is valid to identify myself"
"No, the document is expired and not valid so I will not let you in"
aaaaaarrrrgghhhh!!!, I was pissed off that somebody could be so stupid. Anyways, I was standing there with a few friends figuring out what to do, and my friend Adrian comes in and calls the manager, he looked at my ID, check with a couple of other guys and finally let me in!!, jeez!! I hate it when people get stupid like that, but at the end I had another great 80's night, AND this reminds me that I have to get my license renewed ASAP.
