Oh, how terrible I am! I moan and whinge for ages about not having a computer, and then when it's back I don't update! In my defense, I had a TON of stuff to catch up on, and I'm having to re-download all the music I lost, which on my paaaaaaiiiiinnnnnffffuuuuulllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyy slow dialup (did you get that, or was it too subtle? ;) takes hours and hours per song.
But then Linda ::waves at Linda:: emailed me to give me a kick in the pants, and rightfully so! Thanks, girlie.
So. Computer is FINALLY back, and I have XP for which I am eternally grateful ::makes rude gesture to Windows ME:: and life is almost peachy again. Well, I really need a new photo editing program. Unfortunately the ones the computer guy loaded on are very very basic, and don't even having painting options, which is just no good. I need to be able to touch up my photos! So, does anyone have any advice on how to get a really good, but either free or really cheap, photo editing program? I drool at the thought of Photoshop, but I think it's atrociously expensive. Any help would be much appreciated!
I also got my new car this week. It's a sooper-dull Grandma car, an Olds Ciera, but it has low mileage, is in great shape, and was relatively cheap, so despite the fact that I'm not sure I like it (I don't like the interior set-up), I'll be putting up with it for a couple years.
AND I think my boss has been happier with me at work recently, I've anticipated her next request more than once recently, so hopefully things are looking up there.
On the not so great news front, my uncle is very ill again, so once more the trip to Scotland is on hold. And what with the computer expenses, and the new car as well, I'm thinking it might just get shelved indefinitely. ::whimpers::
Have sparkly new drugs. Hopefully this will help, and I will stop blubbering constantly. But get this, I have a little thingy (my doc isn't sure what) in the joint of my finger. So she says because it's in the joint, I need to see a plastic surgeon, and obviously the wait time for an appointment with a plastic surgeon is quite long. She said probably about six months, so hopefully by that time it's just gone away on its own. But I got the appointment slip in the mail yesterday, and it said JUNE 22. That's right, 2005. ::facedesk:: Stupid fucking Conservatives, mucking about so badly with our healthcare. ::shakes fist of impotent rage::
Well, I think that's it for now--oh, no, wait...wait-- Nope. That's it.
More soon! And it's so good to see all of you again.

Toodles,
