Diversion Tactics, part 2helzebelApril 16 2006, 21:00:29 UTC
Stan moved even closer to the bars that divided him from this intriguing, beautifully-spoken gentleman with silvery blond hair, pressing against them. Lucius felt, with a mixture of disgust and satisfaction, something warm and hard nudging at his hip. "We could escape together, Mr Shunpike."
"Yeah..." breathed Stan, more entranced than he would ever have admitted.
"Just you and I... and maybe a few of my friends."
"It will be dangerous. But you're brave, aren't you?" Lucius was so close to Stan's that his breath tickled his face, and the young bus-conductor could see the strange light in his grey eyes.
"Yeah, I'm brave, mate." Stan grinned. If he'd been walking, he would have started to swagger. "Bravest man 'ere, I promise yer, mate. Wot 'choo want me ter do?"
"I knew I could count on you. Come even closer. I'll whisper it in your ear, dear boy."
Stan wanted to giggle and squirm like a schoolgirl at the warmth and titillation as Lucius' words softly slipped into his ear. He could barely concentrate on what they were, distracted by the closeness of Lucius' lips, the proximity of that tongue that wrapped itself so skilfully around persuasive words...
---
Stan had set off at a run, red sparks exploding around him. Though he was now out of sight, Lucius heard the commotion of his struggles against the guards - far less dangerous than the Dementors, but still formidable, especially against a gawky young man barely into his twenties. Slinking in the other direction, one of the group of escaping Death Eaters risked a sotto voce comment to their leader.
"He makes a good decoy. It wasn't the most dignified way to convince him, but..."
"But what better way was there, Macnair?" Lucius allowed himself a proud smirk. "You know as well as I that Veela powers - even those present in male descendants - only ever work on men."

Ahahahaha, but poor Stan! (But I know Harry will find a way to get him out. :-) ) When he started to puff up, I suspected Veela powers at work. Nice job!
