Hee! And then, of course, Rodney will try to institute a "no kissing right after you brush your teeth, seriously, John, it's all chalky and weird, and you don't taste right" rule, which I'm sure will be just as effective as the other one was. :D
Ohhhh ... it's the last line that got me -- Rodney feels roughly one hundred and sixteen percent himself because it's true: he is himself around John because John truly gets him. He self-censors so much around Katie, and even Keller, that it's sort of heartbreaking. But John -- he can take it. I like this -- it offers neat little character insights. Well done! :)
Thanks very much! I figure that Rodney's pretty accustomed by now to trying to censor himself when he's in a relationship, and even though he gets that it's different with John, there are still times (at first) where he's still a little cautious. I'm glad you liked this!
And ones that are so weirdly out-of-context! (Seriously, what was JFlan thinking? "Ah, yes, in this scene, Sheppard makes kissy-faces at Rodney, because of, um, ah -- reasons! Acting reasons! You wouldn't understand.")
