Beautiful...

It has been SO nice here the past few days, and we're supposed to have another 3-4 days of the same. We damn sure earned it, with all of the nasty/hot/rainy crap we've had since May. It's about 60 and peaceful outside right now...it's so nice being able to have the windows open at night again. Been too warm and humid to do that for the last couple months...

First round of Ice Eagles tryouts were today, and I had a blast. I haven't stepped foot onto a rink with a stick in hand in over 4 years, and I've really missed it. Obviously, I'm not actually playing, since I'm not a student anymore and I've had too many concussions to play. But I talked to the coach and he agreed to let me help run tryouts on the ice, and I'll be able to do the same at any practices I can get to this year. It felt so good to get back out there, take some shots, and just feel like a part of something on the ice again. It's been so long, but I still have my shot and I feel like if it weren't for my damn concussions, I could still play pretty competitively. But I digress...looks like we have a good crop of guys this year, and I am definitely looking forward to being on the ice as much as I possibly can this season.

On the job front, Baymont is getting to be a joke. After 13 hours this past week, I'm only scheduled for 8 this week. I simply can NOT live on that, especially since I was promised 25-30 hours a week. I'm fully looking for a new job again, because I can't keep doing this. I interviewed for a full-time $9/hour medical receptionist job on Friday, and it went really well. Should know about that by the end of the week...I'm trying to stay realistic, but I really have a good feeling about it. Time will tell, I guess.

I've put together a new page for the Ice Eagles website...it's an informational page about Evansville. Basically, it puts a positive spin on the city so prospective students/athletes will actually be interested in coming here. There's also a photo gallery of pics Andrea and I took at the riverfront Friday. If you're even remotely interested in the city I call home, please take a look here and give me some feedback. Thanks!

Notre Dame football opened with a big comeback OT victory today...go Irish! Cardinals won too, which is definitely good. Now if the Colts can win tomorrow, I'll really be happy.

Krista: *hug* :)

That is all. I should finally have time to get caught up on e-mails tomorrow afternoon/evening. But for now, I need sleep. I'm drained.
