Ficlet: Compromise. John/Rodney. PG. (Spoilers for 4x04)

Oct 02, 2007 20:45

This is Doppelganger fic, so beware of spoilers! Also this won't make any sense at all if you haven't seen it.

John/Rodney. PG. 370 words. Doppelganger tag. Further warnings behind the second tag as not to spoil the fic. Suffice it to say, it's not fluffy. Also: Thank you, lavvyan :)

Oh, harsh, but very poignant. Poor John. It's a very neat idea here, and I can't wait to watch the episode. Thanks!

The episode is pretty awesome. But for some reason it brought out the angst in me instead of the squee. Thank you!

Oh oh oh, a Doppelganger fic already! *\o/* And an excellent one, as well. Very angsty, but very very John as well. Great job!

I just had to write this after watching the episode. John just tore at my heartstrings in it.

Thank you :)

Oh, terrific episode tag. It makes so much sense that John would be second-guessing about reality after that, and after seeing his expression and body language after Rodney 'died' I can totally buy him not wanting to leave this particular dream, if it is one.

Yes, if he believes Rodney is dead, I'm not sure he'd be strong enough to give up the fantasy. At least the shipper part of me thinks so. In the end I think John is too responsible to not go back. (Of course then, in my mind, Rodney has to be alive and John overwhelmed that he was both right and wrong about this dream.) And I think a scenario where this is actually not a dream would be the creepiest of all.

Thank you!
