Challenge #246: Denial
It's Monday and time for a new challenge.
Challenge #246 is:
Denial
"You love me?" "Like a friend loves another friend." Sometimes denial is so obvious, it points to the truth more than if you hadn't denied anything.
Denial can come in different forms. It can be unnecessary and drawing attention, it can come when pressed to answer and feeling cornered. There's self-denial, either lying to yourself or denying yourself something that you don't think you deserve. Or maybe you sacrifice something you want for something you want more (or thought you wanted more). Then there's denying someone something they asked for, maybe even desperately need.
