This is the first of our three special posts in celebration of John/Rodney.
Let's talk about our favorite moments on the show. We've got 100 episodes (plus SG-1's "The Pegasus Project") with many awesome John/Rodney moments

One of the stand-out moments is certainly the "I can't" in Miller's Crossing. John's feelings are so plain to see in the way he can't look at Rodney, in the breaking of his voice, in the shininess of his eyes.
Another favorite is the opening of "The Shrine" and it's implications in the context of the episode. Rodney is so desperate for John while the woman he professed to love tells him (to no avail) that she's right there. But he only wants John. The Shrine and especially this moment show how deep Rodney's feelings for John are.
One of my first McShep moments was in Hide and Seek, the utter glee on both their faces when they tested the personal shield :) Definite McShep moment is a bit harder, there are a few. The one scene that stands out is in The Shrine, when Rodney's calling for John.
The episodes with Jeannie always makes me smile, esp McKay and Mrs Miller. I just saw The Intruder, and the scene where Rodney is trying to get smaller before they are beamed into the hangerbay always cracks me up!
I could see beginning of their relationship. Like they're inseparable from the start. Kids playing! So sweet! And when John was so afraid for Rodney in the end of Hide and Seek! You remember, right?
The Defiant One - Rodney worrying about John, left with his dying scientist and the way he asks John what to do when he empties his gun. (Plus, even Gall knows how together they are!)
My first McShep moment is in Hide and Seek when they are playing with the shield - they're like two kids; so obviously enjoying experimenting and having fun together.
Yes, they were so happy in that moment. And it just warms my heart to imagine how the first thing Rodney did was run to John so that they could play with it together.
That part in The shrine, where John shows up with his goofy smile and tells Rodney that they're going on a trip, and he's just ok with everything because it's *John* and trusts him even when he's lost everything else. Yes,yes, it's a sappy ep but I really love it - they literally mean everything to eachother. (and then Rodney confesses his love for -Jennifer? Yeah, right.)
Oh yes. He smiles at the others, but when John comes closer, it's a whole different level. Rodney's face really lights up in that moment. And John's smile is so heart-breaking because he thinks Rodney is dying, but he still tries to smile and be brave and make this easy for Rodney who cannot grasp what's going on at this point.
