John/Rodney. Angst. Inspired by a longer fic idea I'm working on. PG.

He watches Rodney sleep. It's dark, but there's enough moonlight to make him glow.
John leans forward, close enough that he can see Rodney's long eyelashes.
He wants to reach out and touch, but he doesn't want to disturb Rodney. He'd wake up and be confused, possibly irritated.
And what would John tell him?
That he can't take his eyes off him? That he feels the need to always know where Rodney is, to have him close, to see him?
He wants touch him all the time. Maybe because he can't. But it feels wrong not to.
