I'd love to see an AU that's set in semi-recent history, i.e. WWII or the Great Depression or post WWII (John, the veteran, meets Rodney who was either kept in labs or couldn't join for health reasons).

I would absolutely adore anyone who could write a fic based on the film Overboard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overboard_(1987_film)). Every time I watch it reminds me how great it would be if John and Rodney were the main characters.

Oh, I second this. Rodney would be the perfect Joanna. (I think my fondness for Gay!John would make him the uncle rather than father of the kids, though ;)

I third it! I've wanted an overboard fic since I saw the manip and read the E! write up!

I think it'd be great if someone could write the fic kind of the way John and Rodney's lives were written in the writeup! That would be awesome and I would be suuuuuper happy!

I love Rodney whumping so I'd like to see fics where he really does get endocarditis, from Childhood' End. Also where he really was sick in Quarantine.

Ok, there is a theme here, Rodney claims to be sick and noone believes him but it turns out he really is sick, of course it has to be John who finally believes him, ends up looking after him and its the beginning of their relationship?
