Team War Sign-up Post
Ready to sign up to play for Team War? Then you're in the right place! Just leave the following info in a comment to this post, and you're all set:

There are 30 places in total on the team -- 25 for writers and 5 for artists -- and places will be filled on a strictly first come, first served basis. As usual we offered guaranteed places to last year's Team Captains and artists if they wanted them, so not all those places are up for grabs, and of course we have this year's Team Captain as well. This means we have 24 spots for writers and 4 for artists available on Team War.
You can sign up for someone else (if they have asked you to do so), but please only sign up one person per comment unless the particpants are co-writing for the fest. If two participants are co-writing, only one person should comment. Please include both LJ names and email addresses, and provide a link to a fic that you/they have co-written together.

War can mean so many things. It might take place on a real battlefield, blood and loss and grief. It might take place within one's mind, torn between two options that each carry their own risks and rewards. Or it might take place at home, between two guys who can't decide whose turn it is to do the dishes.
Life in Pegasus is a war in many respects, and has been from the very beginning of the Atlantis expedition. Both John and Rodney have fought against the Wraith, the Genii, the Replicators, their own nightmares. Over the years, this has brought them together in a way where each will, quite literally, do just about anything to keep the other alive. But the enemies they face aren't all from Pegasus. There's the IOA, the SGC, the US military. What will Rodney do if John gets transferred to another base? How will John react when Rodney's contract doesn't get renewed? If you think they will fight for each other, like they always did, then Team War is the place for you.
Of course, there are also prank wars gone wrong, the one where the military and the scientists fought each other for control over the last functioning coffee maker in Atlantis, or the AU where John and Rodney are neighbours and a certain branch hangs a bit too far over a particular fence. Any definition of war, any kind of conflict you can think of, Team War will be happy to have you on board.
At the same time, we'll be trying to keep the infighting at a minimum, so there'll be brainstorming sessions, chats and general squeeing support. I hope you'll join us!
