Wow, I really struggled to read this, very squicky! And I had no clue that it wasn't really John Sheppard, although I was desperately hoping it wasn't, as there was no major character death warning.

Poor Rodney, horribly vile and traumatic! I'd struggle to leave Atlantis - or even my room - after that too!

I really appreciate you taking the effort to read all the way through this.

There were a couple of clues that it wasn't John, but they were really, really subtle. When John says, 'I'm not--' and Rodney cuts him off, he was saying, 'I'm not John Sheppard', not 'I'm not going to make it', the way Rodney assumed. :) But I know that was very easily missed. :)
