Wow -- this is kind of heartbreaking. Is John going to be content with being a shadow forever? Did he really survive in this form, or did Rodney pretty much go nuts? It's also sweet, too...

I agree with Mecurtin though - it does feel like it NEEDS a part two. :) Or maybe that's just me wanting to read more.

I really like Rodney's characterization, however I can't help but think John is a little too agreeable. I keep wanting him to be sarcastic during boring meetings, help with equations, or demand that Rodney take him flying.

I agree with you - there's too little John in this fic. I noticed that like ten minutes before the story was due, and since I was going to be offline for two weeks I couldn't ask for an extension. I hate not doing my own stories justice, so this was (hopefully) my last challenge in this fandom. Somehow I just never manage to finish my story in time and be satisfied with it.
