You really won my heart with this sentence: "Yeah," Rodney says, and snorts. "That's how I think of you, a happy little ray of sunshine."

I really like the conclusion to this. It doesn't make what was done to John any less horrifying, but it allows him to find a way of making it work for him. Good thing Rodney turned out to be such a kinky guy. ;)

Guh. And also? Guh. I love this, how it works between them, how Rodney gets John, and just everything else about this story.

I loved the rescue, and how Rodney was afterwards, and the things that weren't said, that didn't have to be said, but that mattered.

Just excellent all around, this story. And the beach cottage in Pegasus. Yes!

Wow, I can't think of anything more horrible than for John to have his control taking away from him. The two of them slowly working things out because that's how they've always done it, the banter, the understanding, and the trust between them made the heartbreak easier to bear--and quite possibly forced them into confessing how they really felt about each other. If left up to John, it would have never been said otherwise. Fortunately, Rodney was wise enough to know this!
