Poll on voting format
Edit: Based on the poll and comments received, we have decided not to include the question about the portrayal of the team character. Thanks for the input!
Since the teams this year don’t really have a theme, a small change to the voting will be needed.
Where the third question on our polls used to ask ‘How well do you think this entry fitted the team theme?’, we plan for the poll for Team Sheppard to read ‘How much did you enjoy the portrayal of John Sheppard in this entry?’ while the one for Team McKay will read ‘How much did you enjoy the portrayal of Rodney McKay in this entry?’
As always, voters will not be asked to be objective, and we will do our best to give guidelines. For those who are not familiar with how the fest runs, voting is always viewable only by the mods and never shared with anyone.
The alternative to the above would be to eliminate this question completely, and just leave the ‘How well do you think this entry fitted the prompt?’ and ‘How much did you enjoy this entry?’ questions on the polls. This is our option if the above is going to be too confusing or misleading for either our teams or voters.
