Interview questions!
Hey, everyone, happy Friday! I bring you interview questions in celebration. *g*
1. How long have you been writing fan fiction?
On and off since late ’99. I got into The X-Files fandom around that time, discovered this new shiny thing where people could actually take characters and make them do their bidding, and the rest was porny history. I fell out of fandom a few years after that due to school and other real life happenings, then came back in late 2004 to find it shinier than ever.
2. Have you participated in any other fandoms?
Currently, I actively write in Lost, Oz, SGA, and my newest obsession, bandslash (*hides*). I’ve also written in Brokeback Mountain (both FPF and RPF), Prison Break, Firefly, Law & Order: SVU, The Office (US), and BSG.
3. What do you enjoy most about SGA and/or SGA fandom?
This fandom never, ever fails to put a smile on my face, and I simply adore that to pieces. I can be having the crappiest day ever, and then someone will lead me to a fic where John turns into a kitten and snuggles with Rodney and suddenly everything is fabulous. I love that the possibilities in this fandom as far as fic is concerned are boundless. Being in SGA fandom means never having to say you’re sorry for writing alien-forced sex, LOL.
4. Why did you choose to join Team Angst/Team Romance?
I love both angst and romance, and I think most of my writing combines both pretty consistently, but I also tend to gravitate toward the more hurty fics that twist you up into knots until the end when everything is finally straightened out. Call me masochistic, but I like that pain in my gut when characters push each other way and deny themselves happiness for whatever silly reasons. However, I'm a believer in the power of a happy ending because I'm a sap, so as long as said characters eventually realize they're being silly and snog each other senseless, I'm a happy camper!
