I played indoor soccer with the new world comic book shop team tonight. we won and I managed to get both a goal and a blue card (2 minute penalty). Nerds ftw!
I was looking for a specific passage in World War Z while listening to Manu Chao's live album, and ended up reading the section about the feral girl who's mom tried to strangle her to death so she wouldn't get eaten by the zombies (and the mom was stopped when another lady put a bullet in the mom's head) with happy, party, arena latin rock in the background. All this got me thinking: what's the worst possible music/reading material combination? Anything by the Polyphonic Spree with anything by Bukowski? Weird Al and Chompsky? Any J-pop to LoTR? Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players to 1984? G!YBE's "dead flag blues" to Hop on Pop? "Love Train" to the Holocaust comic Maus?
