Omaha was great, and so was listening to 14 hours of this american life on the way there and back.
This is my new favorite video. I picked up the University expansion for Zombies!!! this weekend, so at some point (when we have a table the size of a pool table) we need to try it out.
I am doing a bunch of "pre-writing" for a
NaNoWriMo attempt this year. It's shaping up nicely, and I sent an email with over a thousand words to Kopecky just explaining the basic concept and giving several detailed examples of how it'd work, so the 50,000 word goal should be manageable. One of the ways I described it to him was to imagine if two of my favorite things made sweet, sweet, literary love, this book would be the bastard child. Even if I fail at getting down 50,000 words in 30 days I have some ideas on how to salvage the work I actually get done (and would be able to do even if I finish the book), which would be the most ambitious, nerdy, and time consuming project I'd ever undertake. So, naturally, I'm excited.
Newest favorite ethic fast food:
Runza's. (Imagine if kibbee stuffing was put inside a kolache shell, with cheese)
Most bizarre use of ketchup in a dish: Pad Thai at Taste of Thai in Omaha.
Best reason to go to law school at Creighton: Every Friday the law students get drink specials at different bars around Omaha.
