Y'know, who you date is a reflection on you. So, either Eliza has some sort of redeeming personality, Gerard has a similar shitty personality, or like all males, he doesn't give a shit what she's like unless she puts out and fits nicely into this little world.

i've been wondering if this isn't the case, as well. which, i have to say, makes me a little sad. i know i shouldn't really expect any better, but i sort of hoped gerard was different because he seems like an interesting person to me. but, then, what the fuck do i know..

Not so sure that's not still the case. I can't believe, though, that people think he wouldn't have a fuckbuddy that just happens to be female. Either way, he never said he was stable. He has, in fact, told us over and over he's fucked up.

Here's a thought. Maybe he got out of a long term relationship and didn't want to walk right back into another. Maybe he doesn't consider her his gf yet. Whatever the case, anyone who has never had an asshole moment in love, please step forward. I bet there won't be many of you.
