I don't think you could be more wrong. If you watch the dvd, it said how he used to pay his own way to go to Europe with them and stuff before he was in the band. He had a good job before joining. Besides that, he has said before that since he wasn't in the making of the two albums that are out, that's why he doesn't talk much in interviews and stuff.

Bob's a good dude. And from the times I met Matt, I didn't get those kind of vibes off of him.

wasn't bob a mechanic or something for thursday? how is that as good a job as drumming for a rock band, money-wise I mean.

I believe he was a sound/light tech for The Used. They were saying he made good money at it, that it was a career.

Besides that, he joined before MCR was really all that popular, before "I'm Not Okay" was out or anything. They weren't making money then, not any kind of money to write home about.

Whoa whoa whoa... before MCR was really all that popular? He joined on the Warped tour, right when they were getting more of a mainstream following. They've always had us hardcore original fans supporting them, no they weren't making as much money, but they always had a huge following. Besides, Gerard and the others talk about how they had big labels pursuing them when they had just started out plus the fact that Thursday told them they were going to be big, same with the Warped tour organizer Kevin Lymon. So obviously Bob knew this wasn't just some garage band he was joining; everyone pretty much knew that MCR was going to make it big. That being said, I'm all for what makes the band better and if they think Bob is right then so be it. Music's all that matters to me anyhow.

Just because they were on Warped Tour doesn't mean they were making any money, most bands loose more money than they make at times like that.
Just because they had big labels pursuing them from the start, it's not like they signed with one right away. They did before Bob joined, but a lot of times band's take a bigger risk signing with a large label than they do signing to an indie label.
And just because Kevin and Thursday thought one thing, it wasn't a guarntee, now was it?

You know, this really isn't something to get mad about, it's just my opinion on the secret; that Bob took chances and risks joining the band too, and that I think he deserves more credit than the secret writer is giving him.

He was also named by the band as being "The best front of house" man out there...or something similar. And so that would make him quite a lot of money, as opposed to MCR. Even now when they have a huge fanbase they still won't actually make loads and loads of money, Bob's job before was probably higher paid a lot of the time, and more reliable pay as well.
