saturday night and Colette
I decided to go with maria to see the Cruxshadows and Ayria at the Metro with Nocturna afterword. I really didnt have high expectations for either Ayria or the Cruxshadows even tho I do have some Ayria songs. As for the Cruxshadows I never really heard of any of thier stuff before and was suprised to see that they had a number one dance hit this past year. So Ayria was better than I expected but most of her stuff is standard industrial nothing really new. On the other hand the Cruxshadows blew me away. Some of thier songs could of been a bit shorter but they were amazing. I think the electric violin really seperates them from you everday run of the mill industrial group. If you ever have a chance to see them I highly recommend them. Afterwords we were going to stay for nocturna but I remembered that DJ Colette was spinning downstairs at the smartbar for her 6th anniversary party. So we were able to get into the smartbar for free and it was jam packed, there was barely any room to dance. We got there while Sista Stroke was spinning and she pretty much did an amazing set. I had never seen her before and I was very suprised how good she was. But when DJ colette took over the place went bonkers and she did one of the most amazing sets I have ever heard her spin before. She pretty much had everybody in that place dancing it was pretty amazing I'm really glad we decided to see her. So it ended up being a pretty great night for music and I took pics I'll post those when i edit them.
