I thought I’d post an additional follow-up to my monitoring of SING as the edits on the previous post got more than slightly ridiculous, we’ve got additional charting information and people seemed to like the last post.
Billboard has updated their charts and there’s some pretty cool movement going on.
Alternative Songs: 1 spot from 3 to 2
Rock Songs: 4 spots from 8 to 4
Adult Pop Songs: 1 spot from 28 to 27
Hot 100: entering this new chart at 92! Hot 100 is the “big” chart, so this is very cool.

Additionally, SING was officially announced as the number 1 song on modern rock radio.

Also it was pretty cool to see that Teenagers even made a reappearance on the charts at 92. All the movement is really nice to see, to me it indicates that people are looking at MCR’s catalog and purchasing songs and gaining interest. I think it’s safe to say that MCR on Glee led to some really nice promotion for the band and hopefully gained them some new fans.
