NME TV Information
Saturday and Sunday (November 20-21) is My Chemical Romance weekend on NME TV.
Over the two days a new interview with frontman Gerard Way will be broadcast (watch a preview on the right) as well as band videos being shown in various formats, including a head-to-head with Green Day.
Speaking in the NME TV interview, Way talked about the band's new album, 'Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys'.
"It's not a concept record, there's no story," he explained. "There's nothing to read into like that. I find the songs to be extremely direct."
He added: "Even though you have [character] Dr D checking in with you, he's just painting this picture of a world, and that's what the record does… but there's no concept for this album. Its origins were rooted in a comic I was working on with a friend of mine. The things I wanted to say in that comic were things I wanted to say in the band."
Watch on Sky channel 382 and see NME.COM/nmetv for more information.
The schedule for My Chemical Romance weekend on NME TV is (all times GMT):
My Chemical Romance Vs Green Day (Saturday, midday and Sunday, 8pm)
MCR: the videos (Saturday, 4pm and Sunday, 9am)
MCR Vs 30 Seconds To Mars (Saturday, 9pm)
MCR Top 10 (Saturday, 8am and Sunday, midday)
Meanwhile, the band have made their new album available to hear in full as an online stream ahead of its release on Monday (22).
