I'll leave all my doubts (and sadness at most probably having to wait a lot longer than I thought of the new album/tour) to say...

It's not that I think this would push it back. More like...it's probable that they're doing this in part because there will be no new album until February or March at least. From what we'd seen on twitter (they were apparently recording in July), I was expecting it more towards the end of this year. So I don't mean that them releasing this changes anything, just that it's maybe letting us know how much we might have to wait. Of course, I'm very happy we'll have something to entertain us meanwhile, I just miss them playing so much. Like, it's more about them being back on tour than the album itself! *_____*

I agree with you - it's an excellent idea to get everyone salivating for more and really pumped up for the new record!!! I'm so excited!
