Re: biggest shows of their career - really? I would definitely say that playing Times Square and Wembley are way bigger than Reading.

The crowd at this festival is much larger than either Times Square or Wembley. When they played in Times Square on New Years, they weren't actually playing in front of a crowd, it was on top of a building, and it was not really audible for the crowd to hear.

When they played Wembley when opening for Muse, the stadium was not yet full and they were only opening.

Specifically, this is the biggest HEADLINING show they have ever played. I don't know the specific numbers but this is definitely one of the biggest crowds they have played to as well. They've played lots of a festivals to giant crowds, but the stakes are so much higher for this show. It literally could make or break this band.

I don't want to butt in but It literally could make or break this band.

I really really disagree with this. I agree Reading and Leeds is big but. There is no way that a bad show at Reading and Leeds does anything but get panned by the press. MCR are already firmly established in the rock world and music world for that matter, that's why they're headlining and have an established loyal fanbase, those fans will love them regardless of a bad show. Would a great show really boost them? Of course! People will remember that show and talk about it but I can't think of any Reading and Leeds performance that broke a band. That just seems like a hyperbolic statement.

Yeah, that was an overstatement on my part, sorry. Of course, I find it hard that they could do anything but fucking DOMINATE these two shows.

No it's alright and I hope you didn't feel I attacked you or anything. But yes, I can't imagine anything but this show being astounding.

Oh goodness no! And I should have thought through my comments first!

The excitement I have for these shows is ridic. Just knowing they're going to go on stage and assault that crowd from beginning to end gives me chills.

I hope they do Give 'em Hell Kid 2nd and do the "I present to you, the one and only, MY CHEMICAL FUCKING ROMANCE" in the intro. WOW WOW WOW.

I think my only wish right now is kind of weird but I just want them to keep their interludes and the Noise Jam because I want to hear the reactions to those. That's kind of my only if I were to contemplate it that's what I want.

Otherwise I will be happy with the setlist, I'm pretty sure.

uncurl probably does mean Madison Square Garden, as she is British and therefore pretty clueless about all things American, haha. Thanks!

My "biggest show ever" comments were overly-ambitious, guys, sorry. I know MSG was huge in its own right for sure. I just meant in terms of scope - crowd size, the concept of being a headliner of such a major and legendary festival, huge production (as they talked about), etc. I think performance and production wise, this will blow everything they've done before out of the water. That's what I meant by "biggest show of their career".

I fully redact the "make or break them" statement, that was just stupid to say. Like My Chem could ever not slaughter an entire crowd.

Dude, it's all cool. Like, I disagree about Reading being a huge thing for them, but it's all good if you think it is. I'm just so fucking excited to see them play, since they've been planning this for ages dfghjk.

Well, since people who are at the show say they soundchecked We Will Rock You, I'd bet that's the song they'll cover.

Also lol these aren't the biggest shows of My Chem's career so far. They're big shows! But not ~the biggest~.
