So over the last two years I've mentioned to several of you the series of paintings/mosaics I have planned using the tiny little plastic tabs that keep your bag of bread closed.
well after much talk and experimentation the first of the series is well underway.
I'm going to be showing at the Novermber installation of
Artifakt at Lofi, and I hope to have two or three of these completed by then.
it'll look a lot cleaner once I get the next layer laid down
(you won't see the white holes beneath the bread clips)
the series will feature people who are know for chasing fame/power/wealth/etc. (for good or bad) at the expense of others, either directly or indirectly, but have managed to avoid public scrutiny during their prime.
I plan to choose iconic figures from various industries such as:
- Art
- Fashion
- Music
- Actor/Actress
- Writers
- Architect
- Politician
I'm open to suggestions for people and categories.
The next piece I have planned is a portrait of Jackie Onassis.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
