so sorry to all my PDXers, but you totally missed out on my secret squirrel vacation in your town.
I wasn't able to meet up with everybody I hoped to, but whatever, this wasn't about you!
We went down to visit my buddy Zach on the coast who was recently diagnosed with heart disease at age 28. Awesome huh? Anyways, he's doing pretty good, until he has to climb stairs or walk further than 50 feet. But he'll be better when he gets a new heart, I hope. Good news is that his spirits are still up, and he still kicks ass.
Saturday night I rocked it with the EZ Crew of Eastern Washington fame at the Pala (I love that bar) and possibly secured myself a spot at some upcoming Spokane party. Man we had fun, and drank a shit ton of beer. Every time I turned around somebody from the staff was asking us to take our drunk friend home, and I thought he was very well behaved, considering.
So yeah, some time away from Seattle is exactly what I needed. Plus a little pre-vacation was in order to decompress enough to actually get some real relaxation out of my trip to SF next month.
