You are akbar.... even if you don't know it...
so yeah akbar played last weekend.
I was told several times it was the best show of the winter so I feel good about that.
new songs rocked, new version of our against me! cover went over HUGE!!
oh yeah definition of selling out... making a DVD all about how you wont sign to a major label and then releasing an album all about how you hate the record industy then signing to what is basically a major label.
yeah against me! use to be my beacon of hope in a music industry that is constantly disapointing me now they sign on the same label as people like Mandy Moore and the futureheads.... fuck, I hate to judge prematurely but when I heard that two weeks ago I was extremely disapointed.
It's like H2O... they get a huge underground following singing about stuff like "Don't forget your roots" but then they sign on a major so it is like fuck screw that... and now their songs come off as fake and insecire.

I will give them a chance but at least strike anywhere wont let me down...
oh yeah my first strike anywhere cd I bought... it is selling for 40 bucks on the internet.

oh so Akbar might play Hawaii... That is where one of our old drummers is now living and our good freind is also moving there so they are going to try to hook us up with a week of shows on the island.
it will be bad ass if it happens.
