so i'm not coming home at all this summer. starting june 7 i'm working 40 hours a week for the dining services here at oberlin. they have lots of conferences over the summer including a socialist group (they lock all the doors and windows when they meet) and a scottish arts heritage group (they play bagpipes all times of the day and night to the point where it's hard to sleep anywhere in the vicinity of oberlin).
then in august i'm going to darmstadt and traveling around europe a little solo--berlin, somewhere in italy, somewhere in ireland? my parents might come meet me in ireland which would be super cool. traveling by myself is gonna be an experience, especially with my tendency towards obsessive introspection and lack of directional sense.
so, if anyone wants to come visit oberlin during the summer offers a nice ice cream shop and then some grass and trees and like 5 other people. and me.
life's good. i miss lizwhit and it's sad that only half of that word will be coming back to live in oberlin even though the other half is probably having crazy fun times in guatemala.
