The doctor says that he's eating, so they're going to take him off the anti-nausea drip. The technician I just spoke to said that his eyes are bright. (Given the technician's and doctor's focus on the eyes, eye brightness must be some high weight diagnostic.) The boy meows whenever anyone passes by his cage; probably catese for "gimme outta here two legs and no one will get hurt."

innocentxv, thanks for the food tips. I'll pick some up today. Not sure what to do with all the food that I currently do have. Might mix in the dry stuff to gradually peter it out. The wet stuff? Well, that's not so easy to mix, so I might just use the Whiskas pouches once a week or so. I really hate to see that food go to waste, though I don't want to compromise his health again. (And we still don't know what caused the problem in the first place. Hopefully we'll learn this afternoon.)

I suppose I could temporarily re-open the cat soup kitchen on the back patio, but I don't want to train the neighborhood strays (or otherwise) to rely on that if I'm only going to maintain it for as long as I have food. (Which could actually last a while. The dry food bag is almost full.)
