So yesterday I looked at the first issue of Tokyo Pop's Takuhai magazine. It is a quarterly periodical with samples of okyo Pop's new manga and various articles, like a question and answer column by the editors, a random personality quiz, and a list of the top ten fan service manga. They cover both Japanesse manga and local manga, thogh there choices are, um 'intresting. Their Jpanesse manga seemed to have a fetich theme this month. The first one was an inuaendo riddled shonen-ai by the infamous pervrse middle aged women of clamp no less, the second was about a woman and a guy who she kept as a pet (ok, that is definitely S&M), then came a manga about 2 elementary school aged brothers that hd a shower scene (you have to actualy buty the book to see it), and ended with a manga featuring a Lolita complex. The Japanesse manga was so edited, as to give the hard core, graphical depictions were just a page latter then whaen they cut off, and made one want to buy the manga, if said fetish floated their boat. The english manga was in too short amount to give any fealing for the story telling style of the author. Overall, I liked this publication, the best part being that it is free.
