Welcome to Friday 13th...
Generic Software Consultants Ltd: a bunch of arseholes. Not only did they give me no warning and wrong details for the job... just before the two weeks within which they could can me with no notice were up, they canned me. So I'm jobless again... having called the bloke there incompetent and taken to screening my calls.
On the other hand, this means I can be rather happy that I'm in the final selection process for one job, at second interview stage for a second, and first interview for two more next week. I'll just let my season ticket run out, it'll be easier that way...
And, given that Generic have already taken their victims for lunch to apologise for repeated cockups before, and that I still have a man on the inside, I have a lovely revenge lined up. Turn up in the background when matey is trying to dig himself out of his hole, and pour a pint of cheap lager into his lap. He then has to go back to the office late and in different clothes to the morning (humiliating) or with a damp crotch and reek of cheap lager about him. Either way, no violence, but lots of satisfaction. Almost certainly won't be feasible, but hey - it's a nice thought.
