Next, a rant. Why do some people believe that marking their place is a good and sufficient justification for folding over the page of a book? This damages the book, folks. It's like someone who's fastening a joist to something deciding to mark how far he's got at lunchtime by taking the circular saw and sawing half through the beam. Doing this betrays an arrogant mindset that can't look beyond "What I want right now". FFS, every damned book you buy comes with a free bookmark. It's called the receipt. Or, hell, rip a few pages out of a Dan Brown. You'll improve both books that way.
