morning after 2.0

Managed to catch up with Dr. Who before going out and the werewolf was just a bit stunning though having Queen Victoria wig out on the Doctor was funny.  Also Victoria as Dept. of Exposition at the end was a bit... naff.  Still you need to include those incapable of joining 2 and 2 sometimes... still there wasn't any cottaging jokes this week.  Mr. Tennant is still impressing though Ms. Piper was giggly bimbowoman.  Probably still can't believe she's landed this gig.

Looking forward to tonight... Anthony Stewart Head as the demon headmaster.

Then there was shameless dancing... Double Jacks & coke... catchup with friends... and it was good.   Another engagement among the rock scene, very happy for both parties.  Didn't get home until 4am - post Cabaret snacks (during which time two of us came up with the concept of pain au chocolat blanc (has anyone done this yet?)  and decided that we should make a cookbook...) and chat with closet LARPers as well as a thuggish yet charming taxi driver giving a mate some minor flirtation.  Which is good as we agreed the price beforehand...

Only five hours sleep for me though... fix that later.

Our squirrel problem has reached the point of professional intervention.  The little bastar darlings found another way in and are getting closer to the costumes & comic collection so we have commissioned a nice gentleman in a striking red jumpsuit and his seven(ish) year-old son holding the flashlight with pride to set up traps.  Did you know the grey fellows are technically vermin and it's a criminal offence to the tune of £2.5k to release one once you've caught it?  You'll never watch Snow White in the same light again...

In other news, another Stephen King book goes straight to TV movie.  They're making Desperation.  With Ron Perlman as the cop.   Also the latest Superman movie has Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor.  That should be interesting...
