HMG has a wonderful knack for data mismanagement. I'm sure Mandelson going to Corfu with David Geffen had nothing to do with this. And was it me or did the last time Mandy had dinner with a wealthy businessman, wasn't there some kind of stink? And wasn't that in Corfu as well? Plus I am not crazy about any law that depends on assigning regulatory powers to individuals with vested interests.
Plus, there's the minor fact movie and music sales aren't in decline. So if you want to see ISPs given the power to disconnect your household because someone's been filesharing using your IP address then fine. The ISPs are known to have a tradition of closing down accounts based on legitimate bandwidth use. So yes, I'm opposed.
