How are you doing? I've spent the last eleven days adjusting. Sitting down for prolonged periods hurts without drugs (and Monday was nice to see people but oy vey, afterwards was payback!) but is getting easier. I'm missing my exercise and trying to adjust to the crazy diet that insists I eat three square meals a day rather than continuously graze.
absintheskiss is having fun with her biochemistry so we're alternating on the sofa. Progress is glacial but it's progress nonetheless.
The new Muse album (
The Resistance) is made of win. Lots of influences visible ranging from ELO and Queen to Quincy Jones to Bon Jovi to Chopin - it's prog rock done very right. Lovely stuff. People who don't like Muse probably won't like it but... their opinion?. Pffft. And they can still kick butt live as their set on Jools Holland demonstrates.

Also intrigued by Florence And The Machine whose performance was very credible.
The trailer for Solomon Kane is now up. Yes it looks a bit Van Helsing but this offers some names you don't usually associate with cheese; so I'm encouraged. Plus James Purefoy looks like he's having lots of fun (and has lost some weight since Rome) and the effects are looking very creepy indeed. I'm quietly optimistic.
Finally saw all of season 4 of Supernatural. Whoa. Thought we were dancing perilously close to the edge there but wow - what an ending; also needing to find season 3 of ReGenesis so I can find out how Norbac got over the terrorist bomb with all but one of it's cast surviving and getting their revenge on the US Gover - sneaky terrorists.
Now I have a dilemma. How to persuade
absintheskiss not to watch Strictly Come Dancing (le yawn) when The Tudors are on (lucky we I have iPlayer) and then turn over to My Name is Bruce on Sci-Fi. The latter had us both laughing like drains and Sci-Fi were talking over the start of this, possibly the ultimate cheesy end of show song. Break out the banjo - all together now...
