Back from Alton Towers where the decor was suitably Etheric. Saw the biggest damn albino koi (I'm stood at a second story window and this thing was bigger than the worried looking mallard that left the shore at speed) in between corporate presentations, talking to people about data security, making a joke about confined spaces in a Mini and starting some comedy gossip at my own expense.
Discovered you can be coated in Italian chocolate and massaged for £53 in the Alton Towers spa which sounds... kinky. Also discovered I haven't lost my ability to rock out (which shocked a certain senior manager somewhat but I'm working on the shock n' awe principle these days since it seems to be a popular choice) when provoked. Yes, I danced. People didn't seem to mind. Some of them even liked it. :o).
I must have done well. I plugged my headphones into Rammstein on the coach, drove through that really cool leafy bit and Alton village which I think needs to be revisited once we're mobile as the Coffee Tavern just sounds too tempting to pass up. The next thing I know is that we're approaching Castle Court in Nottingham and X-Ecutioners is on the headphones. Wait what?
Gym was good but the aching shoulders indicate I need to go a bit easier on them for the next couple of days and transfer my frustrations to my waistline. Which is all cool. It needs work and I need an excuse. Gym buddying is busy work.
RIP Cyd Charisse System Resource Document for 4th Ed. Hmm. Does this mean we're looking at a whole new bunch of hardbacks from Mongoose? :o)
Annoyingly money constraints means I can't make ESAM or Spirit Games. With Elsa needing money and having to play finance-a-go-go this month until the good lady is permanently paid I can't justify being social this weekend without a significant cash injection (certain LARPs coming up shaped this decision). GAH! I was looking forward to it but time (and money) just ain't on my side right now.
Melanoma successfully treated using clone cell-boosted immune system.
It'll be nice to be at home this weekend and just chill. I remember home. I think. Don't I?
