I've just woken up so bear with me.
Yesterday was fun spent in the company of good friends at Beer & Pretzels. Need to do more of that kind of thing but I did feel we had an interesting cross-section of humanity in the hall yesterday. The journey home was fun and also the worst time for my mobile phone to die. Hmm. Have spent last half-hour or so glancing at the guilty pleasure amount of books I bought yesterday and wondering whether I should just write today off on expenses, put all the laundry on autopilot and get some serious book-time. I might be that lucky.

US media catches wind of Mickey Mouse-alike on al-Aqsa. I'm not sure where the greatest outrage lies - in messages of hatred spread on children's TV or the fact they're mimicking a copyrighted character who has iconic status? It's this kind of insidious thinking that makes this kind of message doubly disturbing. Iconoclasm has it's place but when the motive is secular hatred, where you can have your peace after you've fought the good fight is not the Islam of your fathers.
And speaking of messages of hate, here's
the latest Jack Chick tract. Seriously, you have to wonder what kind of thinking goes into the production of these things and there's times when you just have to look and roll your eyes heavenward.
Going up to the Easter Bunny and asking if it's Jesus? Then because you've been told that Santa, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny aren't real leading you into a killing spree? And having God as faceless and sitting on a throne saying "I did all I could for you..."? With friends like this etc.
Hammer Films to return. Muhahahahahah!
Firefox-fu. Some are not for the weak of heart but some are simple to do and yield surprising results.
Gila monster spit contains chemical useful in controlling type 2 diabetes. Interesting that a pharmaceutical giant like Eli Lilly has adopted a venomous lizard for it's saliva. The fact that gila monsters only eat 3 - 4 times a year might also be mirrored in the dietary habits of certain supermodels. However Type 2 is a bitch and anything that helps handle it is good for us. Also the idea of a pharmaceutical corporation sponsoring a ranch of poisonous lizards sounds like something out of a horror movie which I'd pay to rent on video.
Image of the day however goes to this... the construction of the Three Gorges Dam in China.
Cool video of sound waves and salt. You might want the sound down on this.
